Biography

A practitioner who became an architect of education.

Dr. Yasi Mojab is an interdisciplinary clinician–scientist, educator, and digital health innovator whose work integrates artificial intelligence, extended reality, Virtual Reality Therapeutics, and digital health technologies into pharmacy education, healthcare delivery, and workforce development.

She is the founder of USC Mann's Digital Reality & AI Lab (DRAI Lab) — established with support from the Dean and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs — where she leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of immersive learning environments and AI-enabled training programs for PharmD and graduate students. She developed the conceptual framework positioning the PharmD as a Digital Care Integrator and co-coordinated USC's first Digital Health & AI course.

Her research evaluates the safety, accuracy, and clinical appropriateness of generative AI in medication counseling, and the relationship between XR-based simulation and OSCE performance — with scalable implementation strategies aligned to ACPE 2025 standards. She practices as a clinical pharmacist in behavioral health and community-based care, and previously delivered telehealth medication management through the USC Virtual Pharmacist Care Center.

She served as Program Coordinator for the award-winning USC International Summer Program, contributes to California state-level AI policy and governance discussions, and reviews for MDPI in digital health, AI, and medical education. Internationally, she presents at FIP World Congress, AACP, and Innovations in Medical Education.
